I’m compelled to say something. This week I have been deliberating the Sanctity of Life. (We had an emphasis on the topic in our church relating to the Sanctitiyof Life Sunday). It has been exasperated by the new standard that Barak Obama has reinstated for America, “the home of the free and the brave,” where we now will be sending our tax dollars to support abortions in foreign nations. This was a sad week in the life of our country.
As you can tell by my picture heading, life is extremely important to me, being the mother of 7, one born to me miraculously at the age of 45. The scriptures are so plain and clear that life is created by God and that no one should take a life. In The Message paraphrase of Psalm 139:13, it reads, “
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
The scripture is very clear that if our country takes part in these killings of the unborn, God will surely hold us individually accountable. Leviticus 20:4,5 says, “If the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from the man, when he gives some of his descendants to Molech (a god babies were sacrificed in the name of), and they do not kill him, then I will set my face against that man (the man who turned his face or hid his eyes) and against his family,…”
It is increasingly sad when people like abortionist, George Tiller, are free, and defenseless babies are murdered. The scripture says that when a baby is taken accidently, the consequences are grave (Exodux 21:23), yet we legalize the actions of abortionist.
God’s creation is incredibly complex and unimaginably wonderful! We must praise Him for His works! Thanks for listening.
